By the fore-edge of the rear cover is a ridge of about 9 cm, as if a piece of string had been trapped there. It is underneath the cloth of the covers and has clearly been there since the cloth was applied to the covers. It has no effect on the use of the book, and we mention it only for the sake of completeness.  

Included loose is a reprinted article from The Oriental Institute News and Notes of Winter 1995 entitled ‘Who Was Who Among the Royal Mummies?’.

Long out of print, and in view of the book’s weight and lavish production standards it is almost inconceivable it would ever be reprinted.
