The book was later taken over by Souvenir Press, who reprinted the book in paperback only, describing it as ‘the fullest biography of Andersen in any language, and the standard work on Andersen’s life and work, exploring it with authority, insight and immense readability’.  However, the book is no longer mentioned on the publisher’s website, and is now out of print in all formats – unless you understand Danish, in which case there is an e-book available.
