Researched and Written by Members of the Hayling Island University of the Third Age, illustrated with b&w photographs (many contemporary) and a few modern colour photographs, location map, [iv] & 244 pp, blue pictorial boards (no d/w, but I suspect there never was one), slight crease to one contents page, otherwise in very good condition, Hayling Island University of the Third Age 2014
24.5 x 16.4 cm, 920g, no ISBN
See below the extract from the book’s foreword, and the picture of the war memorial from the book's rear cover.
The ‘university’ is in fact the local residents’ association, and this book is the result of a project partly funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund. The book was intended mainly for residents of Hayling Island, hence the lack of an International Standard Book Number. It is still available to members of the association for £6.50, but membership of the association costs £15 a year . . .
The slightly strange shading on the book’s front cover appears to be present in all copies, and is not a fault.
