IN THE DAYS OF THE COMET
281 pp, blue cloth (no d/w), extremities a little rubbed, covers a little marked, slight spotting at beginning and end and to closed edges of pages, otherwise in good condition, Collins, undated (1930s?)
16.8 x 10.4 cm, 270g, no ISBN
One of Wells’ lesser-known science fiction books, first published in 1906. It quickly became notorious for its apparent championing of sexual promiscuity, leading, perhaps surprisingly, to Wells being expelled from the Fabian Society.
The book is now only available in paperback, and this hardback edition is a proper sewn book and will open flat.
