That is, what is now the 3rd Armoured Division of the British Army. Included loose with the book is a map in French and English of the D-Day landings in Normandy on 6 June 1944, in which the 3rd Division took part. See also below the description from the dustwrapper flap.
A third edition seems to have been published in 2000, but the additional text just dealt with the period 1990-2000. As far as we can establish, the book is now out of print.
