The overall intention appears to be to use the bow for hunting game, which is certainly more in keeping with the British sense of fair play than using a high-velocity rifle. See the description (below) from the book’s rear cover.
Amazingly, still in print at £9.00, though the author now calls himself Douglas Spotted Eagle. Definitely no comment.
