This is the Astra known in the UK as the Type F (or more commonly Mark 3), produced between 1991 and 1998.  I had one as a company car for four years.  The brakes were rubbish, but it was an excellent motorway cruiser.

Although the book was produced with assistance from Opel and Vauxhall, this was not an official sales brochure, but a description of the car, including a section on its genealogy and gestation. There is also a section on driving impressions.
