Although this book gives theories about the cause of Moss’s near-fatal crash at Goodwood in 1962, I know very well the corner where he crashed, and no-one before or since has crashed there, let alone a driver of Moss’s skill and experience. I subscribe to the view that Moss had choked on a piece of chewing-gum (the doctor attending him at the scene of the crash had to remove the gum from his throat), and had lost consciousness.
The book is now out of print, and judging by its size and lavish production standards, very unlikely ever to be reprinted.
