A difficult book to describe – the first half of the book consists of selected woodcuts by Reynolds Stone, and the second half is an essay of reminiscences by Pritchett on reaching his eightieth birthday. The book was first published in a limited edition earlier in 1982, and the publisher then published this edition to meet popular demand. Most copies of this book offered for sale are of the paperback edition.

All editions are now out of print.
