“Upland” meaning the hills of New Hampshire, though there is a chapter on fishing in the Scottish Highlands. You can tell the book comes from the USA anyway, as there is firmly stuck to the front endpaper an ex-libris label bearing the message “A book is a present you can open again and again”!
This copy is signed on the title-page by Brian Clarke, author of “The Pursuit of Stillwater Trout” and “The Trout and the Fly”.
The book was also published in paperback, but all editions are now out of print.
